VIDEO GAMING HISTORY
or
Video Games I Have Defeated
(201)
or
'Scuse Me While I Explain How Badass I Am (LOL)
by Dennis Robinson, Joystick Jockey

     Playing video games has been a big pastime of mine since I was very young. In the last decade I have become an intermediate programmer, with some skills in programming languages that have allowed me to actually program some of my own video games. I've made a "flying shooter", à la "1942", called "Sandbomber"; a card game called "Blackjack" (lol); and a 9-reel slot machine game I titled "Cherry Mastur Beta" (lol);
among others.

     While I have been playing video games since about 1977, when my aunt had one of those original pong consoles at my grandparents' house, most of those early video games in the arcades and even on many of the early console systems could not be "defeated". Meaning: they were programs that got increasingly faster and/or more complex until it was impossible to keep up. Many of these original program designs were not even expected to be beaten. The programmers just set the conditions to get more intense, and in real life, many of the higher levels of those early games never even got reached, like, say, "Space Invaders" (although that one can't count either because there was no difference between level one and 2, and don't tell me you got past the second screen, you liar! JK). Plus the many endless shooters of every console system and of course the bottomless pits for quarters in the arcade (i.e.: Tetris).

     Here is a list of games and their consoles, as much as I can remember anyway, that I have reached the end of and officially beaten. I will also list the year the games came out for some reference on when I may have beaten them. This list is just games I have beaten, and as such, like with any gamer is NOT NEARLY ALL THAT I HAVE PLAYED FOR HOURS OF MY LIFE. See if you have played any of these. This will be updated periodically...by the way, sports games don't count [tell me if you disagree
